I had a fantastic time staying here, as it’s only a short walk to Asakusa and many charming local cafes, making every stroll feel like a new adventure. the place is situated in a lovely residential neighborhood where you can truly experience local life, away from the typical tourist spots. I also found the rooms exceptionally clean and the staff were really friendly, which added a nice touch to my experience.

I appreciated the charming tatami room and the communal space that encouraged meeting fellow travelers. The evening ambiance was delightful, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploration.

i almost gave a good review but then i remembered the dirt on the sliding doors and walls. Plus, the walls are paper thin—could hear neighbors laughing! I woudlve liked a room upgrade, but i guess routine guests don’t get any special treatment here. definitely not the cushy stay i expected in tokyo.

staying at sakura ryokan asakusa iriya was fantastic! it's just a short walk to ueno park, which is perfect for exploring. the common area with water and snacks was a nice touch, and it felt welcoming. i loved the bath, even if some guests missed the signs about its use.

i would have liked a bit more space if traveling with someone.

It’s just a good pick for a city trip in Tokyo with high value for money. The old lady cooked delicious meals that made my stay memorable. Keep in mind the shared bathrooms can get a bit chilly at night.
